About this object
This series of photographs document the five soft sculpture portraits that Alan Jones stitched together of his brothers and parents in 2007.
Each sculpture is made with textiles from his family home including pieces of their clothing, old family blankets.
"What I did ... for the first time, with those particular heads... I took that personal connection almost to the next level in the materials, because I was literally going through my clothes, all my old hand-me-down clothes, and old blankets that had been in the family for a long time."
This is a portrait of Jones' older brother Darren.
