About this object
This work was one of the highlights of the 2011 Salon des Refusés at S.H. Ervin Gallery Sydney. The Salon des Refusés is the S.H. Ervin Gallery's 'alternative' selection from works entered into the Archibald and Wynne prizes. Guy Maestri has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize four times and won the 2009 Archibald Prize with his portrait of the late Aboriginal singer Dr G Yunupiŋu.
This painting depicts MRAG Patron Pat Corrigan, who donated the work to the MRAG Collection in 2012, through the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program.
