About this object
Lionel Lindsay created more than sixty bookplates between 1911 and 1958. Most were personal gifts for family and friends and some were commissioned.
Harry F. Chaplin (1895–1988) was the proprietor of the Chaplin-Elliott Dental Company in Sydney. He was a collector of Australian books, printed ephemera, manuscripts and letters.
