About this object
Chris Langlois has drawn acclaim with his epic landscapes since completing studies, majoring in painting and drawing, at The University of Newcastle in 1990. In the same year Langlois was joint winner of the Maitland Tertiary Art Award.
Atmosphere and weather are two main focal points for Langlois which he evokes through a strong use of colour. The aesthetic beauty of the artists work is manifested through the blurring technique, which denotes the collective memory and the unconscious. This landscape depicts the region near his parents home.
