About this object
Kyoto Protocol depicts disintegrating landscapes overlayed on text from the Kyoto Protocol document. Trescott obscures the text with diffused and ‘sooty’ marks that resemble mountains, smokestacks and billowing smoke – drawn from childhood memories of the Hunter Valley coal industry. Resulting in the words of this environmental treaty becoming illegible - reflecting the disintegration of the proposed outcomes of the treaty.
