About this object
This work was featured in Kerrie Lester's solo exhibition 'Australia around me' held at Hogarth Galleries in 1976. In a review of this exhibition (Daily Mirror, 3/5/1976) art critic Sandra McGrath wrote that Lester was "a talent bound for the top...." and that the Souvenir of Woop Woop was a "marvelous piece". At this time Lester included a lot of found objects in her work and this work is comprised of show ribbons and tourist memento flags, tea towels and Union Carbide bags.
