This audio recording is an oral history interview with Terry O'Brien. The Maitland Hunter River Oral History Project (2010-11) captures community responses to living on the Hunter River. The project aimed to preserve individual and community experiences of flooding in Maitland and recollections of how the river has influenced our local activities. The oral histories recorded through this project now sit within Maitland Library's collection, documenting the history and the management of floods in Maitland and how life on the Hunter River has shaped our past and is always present in discussions about the future.
