Jill Crossley began her career as a professional photographer in the 1960’s, having worked as an assistant for Max Dupain from 1957-58.
In this series of work Crossley has explored the environment of Wollombi Brook in the Hunter Valley NSW. By highlighting the curious forms and rhythms of bush she conveys a lifelong sense of fascination in the natural world and more recent concern for the environment.
